Our woods Campaigns Dedicate a tree Membership Tree shop Events

Dear Supporter,

This will be your last newsletter from me before Christmas, so I just want to wish you all a very merry Xmas and a happy New Year. A lot has happened this year and it’s been really fun to share the journey with you.

One of our biggest achievements has been the acquisition of Brede High Woods and I look forward to telling more about our plans for this site next year. We wouldn’t have secured this site without your help – so thank you again.

This month, to fit in with the Christmas spirit, I’d like to ask you to consider supporting someone else’s project but - good news - it only needs your votes.

Did you know that £50 million pounds is up for grabs as part of the Big Lottery ‘People’s Millions’ Fund? There are four projects in the running to win this, one of which is Sherwood Forest’s ‘Living Legend’ proposal. We fully support this exciting project, as it will help protect Sherwood’s many ancient trees and create new woodland too. See our first story below, for more details about how to get involved.
Eco Christmas trees
Finally, if you haven’t bought all your presents yet, there are still a few days left to order from our online shop in time for Christmas. We’ve got loads of fabulous and unusual gifts to offer, but I can particularly recommend our innovative new Eco Christmas trees. I’ve bought a few for family and friends myself.

They are a really good way to keep the kids amused while you make the necessary preparations before the big day, because they can decorate them. Here’s an example of one we decorated earlier....

Kind regards,
Sue Holden, chief executive
