St PaulsDear Supporter,

I’ve just returned from a camping trip to Pembrokeshire to find our latest appeal, for Brede High Woods, is proving our most popular ever – thank you to everyone who’s supported it so far. (But, we need to raise more funds before September, so you can still contribute.)

Unfortunately, there is also depressing news… a planning disaster could be on our doorsteps.

The Government wants to restrict your right to have a say in major planning decisions like new roads, airports and power stations? We’re concerned that if these plans go ahead, valuable habitats, including ancient woodland, will come under threat from major developments and there will be little anyone can do about it.

You may have seen adverts placed by the Woodland Trust, and other organisations concerned about these proposals in the national papers. And, as part of the Planning Disaster Campaign, a planning application to build an incinerator was placed on St Paul’s Cathedral. More...

Please take action before 17th August to prevent the Government restricting your right to affect these damaging developments.

Kind regards,
Sue Holden, chief executive

Bramley Frith Delay tactics sound death knell for Bramley Frith Wood
