Dear Supporter,
I’d like to wish you a very happy New Year and welcome you to
2007. As well as looking ahead, I always think this is a good time to
reflect on what we achieved over the past year.
For instance, with your help, we successfully acquired 17 new
sites in 2006. I’d like to thank everyone who responded to our appeals and gave so generously.
Nevertheless, we’re not resting on our laurels. A campaign to
save ancient woodland in Aberdeen has just begun, in order to fight
plans for a road that will damage or destroy 12 ancient woods.
Worryingly, at the same time, Government plans may soon remove
everyone's right to fight applications like this. Please join the Planning Disaster Campaign and email the Chancellor before 8th March to ensure you still have your say!
Kind regards,
Sue Holden
PS Check out our new leaflet to find out more about the planning system and the protection of ancient woods.
