Dear Supporter, Karl mitchell

Welcome to the April edition of the Woodland Trust e-newsletter!

March was a 'magical' month at the Woodland Trust, which saw us make another massive leap towards our plan to create England's largest new native forest in Sandridge near St Albans, Herts.

We've just launched a partnership with Disney Store UK, which aims to create a 50 acre 'Magical Wood' in Heartwood Forest by raising money from their Earth Day celebrations. The exciting news was conveyed to millions of people on ITV and BBC News and other national and regional publications.

You can help create the 'Magical Wood' simply by buying a reusable 'Earth Day' shopping bag, which is available in Disney Stores across the UK. £1 from every bag, which features Winnie the Pooh and Piglet underneath their favourite tree, will be donated to the Woodland Trust.

We still have a way to go to reach our fundraising target, but I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have supported us already and ask those who haven't to consider making a donation to help create this new forest.

Kind regards,

Karl Mitchell
Fundraising Director

PS Don't miss your chance to win a £250 shopping spree at your local Disney Store by entering the 'Design a Disney Tree' competition. Disney is also offering 10% off online Disney Store purchases for e-newsletter readers!

You could make your own contribution to wildlife in your garden by planting a native tree, which you could have delivered to your door from the Woodland Trust native tree shop.
