Dear supporter,
November
is now on the way and the nights are drawing in, but it's still a
busy time for us because the tree-planting season has started. We have tree planting events running from now until next March, and don't forget National Tree Week also takes place in November. Get involved - see details below.
It's
a great time to get out and do some volunteering. Volunteers are vital
to the charity sector and my own experience of volunteering has always
been really rewarding. The Woodland Trust has over 700 active
volunteers and our Volunteer of the Year award is one way we recognise
them. This year's winners stood out because of their amazing
contribution spanning over 20 years, but every volunteer is important
to us. A special thank you to all our volunteers for your support.
Kind regards,
Sue Holden, chief executive
PS Please remember to join us in London for the I Count event on Saturday, November 4th and sign up online to show your support and keep updated.
